Mark Hobson’ s commercial photography career spans over 45 years, His client list includes: Kodak, Xerox, Bausch & Lomb / Ray-Ban, French’s Food, Corning, Quaker State Oil, and Heinz Food. He relocated to the Adirondacks in 2000 where he worked as the Creative Director at Adworkshop overseeing and producing work for accounts such as ROOST (then Lake Placid Visitors Bureau), The Adirondack Museum, and a host of other regional clients.
Since moving to the Adirondacks, Mark has pursued his personal / fine art picturing making activities relating to life in the Adirondack Forest Preserve. His picture making attention has been devoted to picturing the quotidian reality of Adirondack life rather than the dramatic and romanticized representation of the natural environment.
Drawing upon his 60 years of Adirondack visitor and wilderness experience, Mark was also the co-producer, head writer, and on-air host of the Mountain Lake PBS series, Adirondack Outdoors.
